Our international exchange agreement with Australian Catholic University Faculty of Health Sciences, in place since 2012, gives UM SONHS students international healthcare experience at ACU, the largest nursing education program in Australia and its only national one. In keeping with the two-way street of knowledge sharing that characterizes our exchange programs, we also regularly host ACU students at our school’s simulation labs and community partner hospitals. Given the challenge traditionally posed by Australia’s geographical isolation, the chance to travel to our community to learn about the U.S. healthcare system is a significant opportunity for these students.
