Since 2014, the school’s international exchange agreement with Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago de los Caballeros, D.R., has facilitated opportunities for our master’s-level advanced practice nursing students to participate in primary care delivery and healthcare workforce training in this low-resource region across the DR-Haiti border. In 2015, our BSN students joined in, making it the first time SONHS graduate and undergraduate nursing students worked as a team in an international setting.
