Transform Your Future and Be Part of Our Family!

The SONHS Master's program tracks prepare nurses to assume advanced practice roles in their profession. Each track offers learners a wide range of advanced educational and clinical experiences.

The AGNP Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Miami leads to either a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with eligibility to take the AGNP Acute Care specialty certification examination; or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), the DNP is emerging as the standard for certification and licensure in advanced nursing practice. The Acute Care DNP track is designed to prepare nurses for leadership roles in caring for patients who are acutely and critically ill across the continuum of acute care services.

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program at the University of Miami leads to either a Master of Science in Nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and eligibility to take the FNP specialty certification examination. The FNP program offers an excellent educational foundation in advanced practice nursing and substantial clinical and leadership experience.
