"COVID-19 Diabetes Health and Preparedness Study", Denise C. Vidot, PhD, PI

The specific aims of this study are to (1) assess the mental and physical health of cannabis users and nonusers with diabetes during the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and (2) examine barriers to readiness/preparedness for the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the primary specific aim, we hypothesize that diabetic cannabis users will experience a change in mental and physical health due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The secondary aim is exploratory to examine the barriers to pandemic preparedness such as having a diabetes emergency kit, at least a 3-month supply of medications, and access to health care.
