This project seeks to evaluate the impact of mindfulness training on mindfulness levels and on ethical decision making in pre-licensure nursing students and practicing nurses.

The specific aims are to: 1) compare the level of mindfulness of pre-licensure and practicing nurses; 2) evaluate and compare the effects of participating in mindfulness training on mindfulness and ethical decision making in pre-licensure and practicing nurses; and 3) explore the experiences of participants who take part in mindfulness training. This project was funded by a grant from the Arsht Ethics Initiative at the University of Miami Ethics Program. This study is complete.
