"Home Infusion Teaching Practices at Federally Funded Hemophilia Treatment Centers in the United States", Debbie Anglade, PhD, PI

This study examined nursing practices used for teaching home-infusion (HI) to patients and families at Hemophilia Treatment Centers in the United States.

The study results showed many nurses lack the knowledge and confidence to teach HI. Currently there are no national guidelines or standards to assist nurses in teaching HI. The study results highlighted the need for the development of national guidelines and a standardized curriculum. Study results were published in Haemophilia and in Research and Practice in Thrombosis and Haemostasis. The study abstract was presented and received the 2017 Scientific Symposium of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society Abstract Award.
