MDC CAHSD is seeking a 36-month grant from OVC in the amount of $600,000 to continue to enhance the quality and quantity of services available in MDC to assist all victims of human trafficking, domestic/foreign and sex/labor, to achieve their goals, including but not limited to obtaining increased autonomy, self-sufficiency, safety and well-being. This Collaborative will continue to enhance interagency collaboration and the coordination of on-site specialized services provided by the MDC's Coordinated Victims Assistance Center (CVAC), a one stop center and the only Family Justice Center in the State of Florida. The University of Miami (UM), the research and evaluation partner, will continue to increase our data collection capacity to better understand and serve victims of human trafficking with the ultimate goal of integrating evidence into programs. Overall, program outcomes will include: enhanced victim awareness; increased services; data analysis and integration; and improved service delivery and program practices.
