"Minority Recruitment, Community Engagement, and the EERC (Evaluate, Engage, Reflect, and Carefully match) Framework", Yui Matsuda, PhD, PI

The inadequate recruitment of underserved populations, such as racial and ethnic minorities, prevents researchers from creating culturally-tailored interventions, and thus, is a roadblock to eliminating health disparities.

A best practice strategy framework for research recruitment, the EERC (Evaluate, Engage, Reflect, and Carefully match) was developed to systematically approach participant recruitment. The purpose of this study is to present current work in advancing the science of minority recruitment and community engagement based on the EERC framework. A manuscript is in revision.
