Undergraduate Nursing Programs

SONHS is South Florida’s hub for the professional growth of nurses, opening doors to leadership roles and increased salary potential. Offering multi-state licensure, we prepare nurses to address shortages across the country.

 

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Program Length: Four year (eight semester) traditional degree

Our nursing program is affiliated with a major academic medical center; a private, acute care hospital; and a public teaching hospital system. The school enjoys a unique network of over 200 clinical partners. All of our students are placed in their clinical rotations.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)

Program Length: Three semester (one year) accelerated degree

Build a strong foundation for becoming a nurse with early clinical experiences, a focus on leadership development, and a clear path to nursing practice, whether you are pursuing a new career path or have no prior college or nursing background.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS)

Program Length: Four year (eight semester) traditional degree

Baccalaureate education provides the foundation for further education in specialized health professional fields. Pre-professional tracks include:

  • Pre-medicine
  • Pre-occupational Therapy
  • Pre-physical Therapy
  • Pre-pharmacy
  • Management/Health Policy
  • Health Sciences General

Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH)

Program Length: Four year (eight semester) traditional degree

The curriculum is designed to introduce students to the core areas of public health—including epidemiology, environmental health, social and behavioral health, global health and health policy—and to prepare students to work with communities in ways that are evidence-based and culturally competent.
