The University of Miami Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program provides a strong foundation in advanced practice nursing, preparing graduates to lead the delivery of high-quality, complex primary care across diverse healthcare settings.

Mentored by distinguished faculty, AGPCNPs develop the advanced clinical expertise needed to assess, diagnose, and manage health and illness across the adult lifespan. Their practice is driven by patient needs and extends across a wide range of care environments.

Graduates are prepared to make independent and collaborative clinical decisions, provide evidence-based care, lead complex primary care delivery, and advance the profession through the translation of research into practice to improve patient outcomes. They are eligible to take a national certification examination in the adult-gerontology primary care specialty area offered by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
