BSN-DNP Family Nurse Practitioner Program

Program Length: Six semesters full-time, twelve semesters part-time

Credit Requirements: 71 credits, including 1,176 clinical hours

The Family Nurse Practitioner program combines advanced clinical training with leadership development to prepare you for comprehensive family care across the lifespan and to meet the requirements to sit for the FNP examination.

Career outcomes include working as a nurse practitioner in primary care practices, urgent care clinics, community health settings, and government or school environments.

BSN-DNP AGNP Acute Care Program

Program Length: Six semesters full-time, twelve semesters part-time

Credit Requirements: 70 credits, including 1,176 clinical hours

Become eligible to take the AGNP Acute Care specialty certification exam with a robust and research-driven AGNP Acute Care program at SONHS. Start a full-time schedule in the fall or the convenient part-time schedule in the spring.

BSN-DNP AGNP Primary Care Program

Program Length: Six semesters full-time, twelve semesters part-time

Credit Requirements: 69 credit hours, including 1,176 clinical hours

BSN-DNP Nurse Anesthesia Track

Program Length: Nine semesters full-time

Credit Requirements: 130 credit hours, including 3,388 clinical hours

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) are doctorally prepared advanced practice nurses who administer a full range of anesthetics to all patient age groups across the health care continuum in various health care settings.

MSN-DNP Program

Program Length: Three semesters full-time, six semesters part-time

Credit Requirements: 39 - 47 credit hours, including 560 - 1,000 clinical hours

Position yourself for the next stage of your nursing leadership journey with the hybrid MSN to DNP degree program. Ideal for working professionals with a master’s degree, the MSN-DNP includes online assignments with 3-4 face-to-face weekends each semester. Complete in one year full-time or two years part-time.

MSL / DNP Dual Degree Program

Program Length: Six semesters full-time, nine semesters part-time

Credit Requirements: 65 credit hours, including 1,000 clinical hours

Build on your background in nursing with the dual MSL / DNP program, where advanced practice skills, clinical excellence, and executive leadership aspirations culminate in an innovative set of skills valued in today’s complex health care environments. This program is designed to train the next generation of nursing leaders through globally-informed approaches.

PhD in Nursing Science Program

Program Length: Ten semesters

Credit Requirements: 60 credit hours (BSN-PhD), 57 credit hours (MSN-PhD)
