The University of Miami Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program prepares graduates to lead the delivery of high quality, complex primary care across diverse healthcare settings.

Mentored by distinguished faculty, AGPCNP students develop the advanced knowledge and clinical expertise needed to assess, diagnose, and manage health and illness across the adult lifespan. Through rigorous coursework, extensive clinical experiences, and a scholarly practice-focused curriculum, graduates are prepared to improve patient outcomes, drive innovation, and lead the delivery of complex, evidence-based primary care in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

Graduates of the program are prepared to make independent and collaborative decisions, provide evidence-based sound clinical judgments, and advance their profession through the implementation of research findings in practice aimed at improving patient outcomes. They are eligible to take a national certification examination in the adult-gerontology primary care specialty area offered by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
