Established in 1948 as South Florida’s first baccalaureate nursing program, the School of Nursing and Health Studies has a rich tradition of preparing health professionals to provide compassionate, quality care to local and global communities.
Our nursing program is affiliated with a major academic medical center; a private, acute care hospital; and a public teaching hospital system. The school enjoys a unique network of over 200 clinical partners. All of our students are placed in their clinical rotations.
Freshmen accepted at UM are ensured progression into the upper division of the BSN providing that they complete the pre-requisite coursework and maintain the requisite GPA.
The Simulation Hospital Advancing Research and Education (S.H.A.R.E.®) functions as an active research facility, a hub of innovation for university-industry partnerships and product design, and a center for developing novel simulation-based education techniques for professional development at all levels and in all health care disciplines.
See for yourself how this singular simulation enterprise is unlike any in the nation, with unmatched power to address our most pressing contemporary aims.
