The University of Miami Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) Post-Master’s Certificate program prepares registered nurses to lead the delivery of complex care for acutely and critically ill patients across the continuum of acute care services. Students develop advanced clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and hands-on experience through rigorous coursework and extensive clinical training.

Nurses who complete the Certificate program are prepared by distinguished faculty to lead interprofessional teams, drive improvements in health systems and patient outcomes, and apply evidence-based practice to advance high-quality patient centered care in complex healthcare environments.

They also are eligible to take the adult-gerontology acute care specialty certification examinations offered by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN).
