Once received by the University of Miami (UM), all transfer applications are reviewed by the Office of Admission and the School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS). Freshmen applications are not reviewed by the SONHS.

Admission Requirements:

1) SAT and/or ACT Scores

The University of Miami will once again require prospective students to include standardized test scores as part of their undergraduate admission application beginning with students applying to enter the University in the Fall 2026 semester.

Applicants can self-report test scores on the Common Application or through the Applicant Portal after submitting an application. The deadline to self-report test scores is the same as the final credential deadline for the admission plan selected.

Only those students who are admitted and choose to enroll at UM will be required to submit official scores from the testing agencies.

More information about the University of Miami Testing Policy including frequently asked questions can be found on the Undergraduate Admissions Testing Policy page.
